How to use chart templates for quick chart creation?

Here's how to use chart templates for quick chart creation in MS Excel:

Saving a Custom Chart as a Template:

1. Create your desired chart: Start by formatting and customizing a chart the way you want it to look for future use. This includes chart type, colors, fonts, and any other visual elements.
2. Right-click the chart: Once you're happy with the chart's appearance, right-click anywhere on the chart itself.
3. Select "Save as Template": A context menu will appear. Choose the option "Save as Template."
4. Name your template: In the "File name" box, give your chart template a clear and descriptive name that reflects its purpose.
5. Save the template: Click "Save" to save your custom chart as a template. By default, Excel saves chart templates with a ".crtx" file extension.

Using a Saved Chart Template:

1. Select your data: Choose the range of data cells you want to represent in the chart.
2. Insert Chart: Go to the "Insert" tab on the Excel ribbon.
3. Open the Chart Templates: Click the down arrow on the "Recommended Charts" button or the "All Charts" button (depending on your Excel version). This will open a wider selection of chart options.
4. Find your template: In the dropdown menu, navigate to the "Templates" folder. You should see your saved custom chart template listed there.
5. Select and insert: Click on your desired template to preview it. Once happy with the preview, double-click the template to insert it into your worksheet.
