How do I open a previously saved workbook?

There are a couple of ways to open a previously saved workbook in Excel:

1. Using the Recent Workbooks List:

* This is the quickest method if you recently saved the workbook you're looking for.

- Open Microsoft Excel.
- On the main screen, look for the "Recent" section. This might be located on the Start page or directly under the "File" tab depending on your Excel version.
- You'll see a list of recently opened workbooks. Click on the workbook you want to open.

2. Using the File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac):

* This method is useful if the workbook isn't in the Recent list or you know exactly where it's saved.

- Open a File Explorer window (Windows) or Finder window (Mac).
- Navigate to the folder where you saved the workbook.
- Common locations for Excel workbooks include your Documents folder, Downloads folder, or a specific project folder on your computer.
- Once you locate the workbook file (typically with a .xlsx extension), double-click on it. This will launch Excel and open the selected workbook.

3. Using the "Open" Option within Excel:

* This method offers more browsing options to find your workbook.

- Open Microsoft Excel.
- Click on the "File" tab in the top left corner.
- Select "Open" from the File menu.
- A new window will appear allowing you to browse for your workbook.
- You can navigate to different folders using the sidebar on the left.
- The "Recent" list will also be displayed on the right side of the window.
- Once you find the desired workbook, select it and click "Open."

Tips:

* You can also use the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + O" (Windows) or "Command + O" (Mac) to open the "Open" window directly.
* If you're searching for a workbook with a specific name, you can use the search bar in the "Open" window to filter the displayed files.

By following these methods, you should be able to efficiently open any previously saved workbook in Microsoft Excel.
