You are learning Conditional Formatting in MS Excel

Can I copy conditional formatting from one cell or range to another?

Absolutely! There are two main ways to copy conditional formatting from one cell or range to another in Excel:

1. Format Painter:

- Select the cell containing the conditional formatting you want to copy.
- Click on the Format Painter icon in the Home tab under the Clipboard group. It looks like a paintbrush.
- The cursor will change to a paintbrush. Now, click on the cell(s) or range where you want to apply the same conditional formatting.
- Click the Format Painter icon again (or press Esc) to stop copying the format.

2. Paste Special (Formats):

- Select the cell containing the conditional formatting you want to copy.
- Right-click on the cell and choose Copy. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C.
- Select the cell(s) or range where you want to apply the formatting.
- Right-click on the selection and choose Paste Special.
- In the Paste Special dialog box, under Paste, choose Formats only.
- Click OK.

Both methods achieve the same result: copying the conditional formatting rules from one cell/range to another. Choose whichever method you find more convenient.
